ATOMIC Soundcore

A free sample-based virtual instrument for Windows 10/11 (64-bit).
Choose VST3, standalone application, or both during installation.
Both formats use the same audio engine, factory presets and product interface.
Interface languages: English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.

This package installs the selected components and the necessary notices.
It does not include the development Tone Editor or authoring projects.

Close your audio applications before installing. The plugin is installed to:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Qumanit Boss Keys.vst3

The default standalone application location is:
C:\Program Files\ATOMIC Soundcore\Qumanit Boss Keys\Qumanit Boss Keys.exe
An upgrade may retain the installation directory selected by an earlier version.
Launch it from the ATOMIC Soundcore folder in the Start menu.
Use Settings at the upper right of the instrument to choose audio output, sample rate, buffer
size and MIDI inputs. Click the pictured keyboard to audition without MIDI.
Audio/MIDI device settings and the current instrument state are retained.
The standalone is the playing instrument, not the development Tone Editor.
This package does not contain AU or AAX.
ASIO is reserved for a later release after the required Steinberg licence
has been obtained. This package uses Windows audio backends instead.
Unchecking a component skips it; it does not uninstall an existing copy.

In FL Studio, open Plugin Manager and choose Find installed plugins if the
instrument is not already listed. Open a new plugin instance after updating.

Select a preset to audition immediately. Confirm keeps the selected sound;
Cancel restores the previous sound and parameter edits.
The square Preview button plays MIDI for the selected preset when available;
changing presets or leaving the preset browser stops this preview.
Model X2 and Model X2 Line Out share the same MIDI Preview while retaining
their own sound settings. Four presets currently provide MIDI previews.
Preset changes release only the old held keys, keeping their original release
envelopes; new notes use the new sound. Shared effects change parameters without
resetting their history. Bypassed modules retain state and suspend processing.
The red demo credit on the About page closes About and starts the demo after
0.5 seconds, using your current sound. Preset changes do not stop the demo.
Click the credit again to pause/resume. Starting a preset Preview replaces
the demo after a 0.5-second gap. Host transport stop or MIDI All Notes Off
also stops internal playback.
Hover over a numeric value and scroll to adjust it. Shift gives finer steps;
Ctrl gives larger steps. Double-click a number to enter a value directly.
The language selector appears on the About page (click the top-left logo).

Upgrading from a development preview: the host preset list now contains only
the 12 actual factory sounds. Saved plugin states retain stable preset IDs,
but any automation that selects presets by program number must be checked.
The installer does not automatically close your DAW or remove editor projects.
